Payment methods
Payments for Tofiko go through Stripe, a payment provider used by millions of businesses. When you choose a plan, you are taken to Stripe's own payment page, and Stripe shows the ways to pay that work for your country, your currency and your device. That is why two people can see different options on the same page.
What works today#
These are the methods switched on for Tofiko right now:
- Card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the other major cards. This works everywhere we sell.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay: shown as a button when your phone or browser supports them. Some browsers, including many built-in and third-party Android browsers, do not, and then only the card form appears.
- Link: Stripe's own way to save a card and pay again with one click. It asks for your email or phone number, not for a separate account with us.
- PayPal: when the price is shown in euro. Outside the euro area Stripe may show only card-based methods for a subscription.
- Revolut Pay: for Revolut customers in the UK and the EU.
- In parts of Europe, Stripe may also offer Amazon Pay or Satispay, depending on your country. If you do not see them, they are not available for your country.
Mobile money (M-Pesa and similar), bank transfer and crypto are not available at the Tofiko checkout today. This page changes the day any payment method is switched on.
The price in your local currency#
Tofiko prices are set in EUR. Where Stripe supports your country, the checkout page shows and charges the price in your local currency, at Stripe's exchange rate. That rate runs about 4% above the market rate, so the local amount is a little higher than a plain conversion.
- At every renewal the local amount is recalculated at that day's exchange rate, so it can change from month to month. The EUR price does not.
- You can pay in EUR instead on the same page and avoid Stripe's margin, though your own bank may then convert.
- Stripe's list of supported currencies is on their Adaptive Pricing page.

Is it safe?#
- The payment page is Stripe's, not ours. Your card number and security code go straight to Stripe.
- We never see or store your full card number or security code. What we keep is a Stripe customer reference, whether your subscription is active, and when it renews.
- You can cancel at any time from your account page, without writing to anyone. See Plans and billing for how billing and cancelling work.

Frequently asked questions
Can I pay with PayPal?
Yes, when the price is shown in euro. Stripe decides which methods to show for your country and currency; if you do not see PayPal, switch the payment page to EUR or tell us with the form linked on this page.
Can I pay with M-Pesa or another mobile money service?
Not today. Mobile money is not available through our payment provider for subscriptions. Tell us through the form on this page if that is what you would use.
Why is the price on the checkout page not in euros?
Where Stripe supports your country, the checkout page shows and charges the price in your local currency at Stripe's exchange rate, which is about 4% above the market rate. You can switch to paying in EUR on the same page.
Do you store my card details?
No. The payment page is Stripe's. Your full card number and security code go to Stripe and never reach us.
